PEOPIL: Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers

The Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL) was founded in 1996 by a group of European personal injury lawyers - plaintiffs as well as defendants - practicing in various jurisdictions in Europe. By 1998, we were formally established as a not-for-profit organisation to improve and promote judicial co-operation and mutual knowledge of legal and judicial systems of European jurisdictions in the field of personal injury law.

Proper and fair compensation for victims and access to justice

When PEOPIL was founded, our aim was to set up a networking organisation to provide a forum for dialogue and discussion among lawyers practicing personal injury law across Europe. Nowadays, our main objectives are proper and fair compensation for victims and access to justice. Furthermore, PEOPIL promotes and encourages the exchange of information and knowledge. PEOPIL has formed European Exchange groups for members, where they can share information and discuss issues in their specific area of interest.
